ABOUT

JILL CROVISIER (B. 1987, LUXEMBOURG) IS A CHOREOGRAPHER AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTIST WHO HAS LIVED AND WORKED ACROSS CULTURES SINCE THE AGE OF 16. TRAINED IN BALLET AND CONTEMPORARY DANCE IN LUXEMBOURG AND INTERNATIONALLY, SHE HAS DEVELOPED WORKS SINCE 2013 FOR STAGE AND COMMUNITY CONTEXTS, COMBINING CHOREOGRAPHY WITH VIDEOGRAPHY, VISUAL AND SOUND CREATION. ENGAGING WITH EXISTENTIAL QUESTIONS, CULTURAL HERITAGE, NATURE AND ARCHITECTURE, JILL’S WORK CARRIES A STRONG SENSE OF PLAY AND ADVENTURE, GROUNDED IN A BELIEF IN DANCE AS A SPACE FOR UNTAMED FANTASY, FREEDOM AND HUMAN CONNECTION. HER PRACTICE SPANS FORMATS: FROM FULL-LENGTH GROUP WORKS TO SOLOS, DUETS, YOUNG AUDIENCE PIECES, SITE-SPECIFIC INTERVENTIONS, COMMUNITY COLLABORATIONS AND MOVEMENT DIRECTION. THE GAME – GRAND FINALE. A full-evening show for 8 performers on a topic of games and their influence on the human condition.

I(CE)(S)CREAM – BOLERO FEMME. A feminist theatrical solo set to Ravel’s Boléro, following a woman’s journey toward her inner voice, balancing instability and control.

BOLERO. A rhythmic solo in which a man gradually discovers his inner voice, with roller skates reflecting the speed and instability of contemporary life.

MAHALAGA Landscapes. A site-specific work adapted for theatre, inspired by nature and industrial heritage in southern Luxembourg. Now in the repertoire of Equilibrio Dinamico.

THE HIDDEN GARDEN. A full-evening solo where reality and fantasy intertwine, examining power, control, utility and perfection through a mysterious figure evolving on a square of synthetic grass.
